|Lft to lower Rt. Actress Lillian Y. Cartagena / Actor/Writer Adam Bolden / Videographer & Sound Recorder Jonathan Grossman / Actor/Writer Guy Nanni|
On Wednesday September 19, 2013 I attended the PaFIA Fall Social & Mixer at Morgan's Pier (221 N. Columbus Blvd) which was open to non-members.
There are times I mark things on my calendar to cover and then when the actual event is upon me, I get a little chicken and think maybe I won't go. I almost did that with this event which started at 8pm, but I couldn't get it together and arrived at 9:15pm. The funny part is, after I get some free food and a drink, I'm in total blogging mode! Approaching people, Nikon and digital voice recorder at the ready, laughing, talking, you'd think I was a socialite, no one would ever know that I nearly decided to take to my bed; except as usual, I'm admitting way too much.
Anyway, The Pennsylvania Film Industry Association's mission is to promote the film, television, and commercial industry in Pennsylvania and to serve a strong collective voice to address common issues in business circles and government offices. In other words, they, like the GPFO, work tirelessly to keep the PA Film Tax Credit Program going strong! While also providing support and networking opportunities for their members.
|Had fun chattng with these guys about the "48 Laws of Power"|
Rt. Filmmaker Steve Carino - his current film in development is called Planet Mirrorball (www.planetmirrorball.com) after he showed me the trailer, I dubbed his movie "Disco Tron" which he really liked!
#writers #moviebuffs #filmlovers #bloggers - I couldn't go this week to see Captain Phillips with Tom Hanks and none of my 3 blog contributors were available either. Tinsel & Tine really needs another person who lives in Philly preferably in Center City or can easily get to the city to be a blog contributor. You have to just love movies and writing, because it's NOT a paid gig. However, you do get to see Preview Screenings for FREE! Interested applicants can contact me: email@example.com Thanks!Philly Film Blog
