Tinsel & Tine on Facebook Weekending 7/1/2011

Friday, July 1, 2011

I'm finding it much easier to maintain a Tinsel & Tine facebook page than a blog; especially now that I've finally gone back to work (well, long temp assignment) and began blogging and posting social media for the upcoming QFEST! (Philadelphia's LGBT Film Festival).  No, all my bad dates have not turned me against men, but a blogging gig's, a blogging gig.  More on QFest in upcoming post.

I've discovered a quick thought on facebook is rather cathartic, it lets me express myself, without the long ordeal of writing, re-writing, formatting, linking, posting pictures etc... I do love blogging, but if you're a blogger reading this post, you know this medium can be quite time consuming. So, I've compiled a couple of screen shots of stuff I've posted on facebook recently; this way those readers that have not yet "liked" my page... hint, hint. Can see I'm still alive.

Speaking of liking the page - I'm just 5 away from 100! A major milestone in the life of Tinsel & Tine.  I want to give away some kind of prize, but I haven't had a chance to contact a sponsor who may be willing to be a part of the celebration/promotion and supply a gift certificate to a movie or restaurant (both would be excellent!) to the person who becomes my 100th like.   Again, any restaurant or film association reading this.. hint, hint.

cool post! How'd you capture the screen shots to repost here? Clever Idea!

Thanks D,
I hit print screen, but then did the cropping in Photoshop. Got 1 new like so far, only 4 away!

Great Post...I will have to figure out how to do a FB page before I have the experience you described. Congratulations on your success.

Thanks Michele! I saw your 4th of July post about vineyards in New Jersey. It's been a while since I've been, but I really like the Renault Winery. In fact, as I recall they have an excellent restaurant too!

About This Blog

is about discovering what I find pleasing in screening & eating - in case you missed it, the name is a play on Tinseltown using the Tines of a Fork.

Feel free to send me info on a film or new restaurant you'd like me to highlight.
